                                                November Deadlines

 

  • Jack Kent Cooke Foundation: Up to $40,000 available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need to attend 4 year college or university.  ACT or SAT scores must accompany application. Deadline: November 17, 2017.

 

December Deadlines

  • Boston University Trustee Scholarship Competition: Covers full undergraduate tuition plus orientation and mandatory undergraduate student fees for four years. Deadline: December 1, 2017.

 

  • SeniorAdvisor.com:  Three $2,000 scholarships to students enrolled in accredited 2 or 4 year college.  500-750 word essay response to the question:  How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town.  Deadline: December 31, 2017.

 

February Deadlines

  • Valerie E. Yahn Scholarship:  Awarded to Senior intending to pursue a degree in Nursing.  Deadline: February 15, 2018.

 

March Deadlines

  • Foster & Adoptive Family Services:  Eight scholarships available to Seniors who have experienced a CP & P out of home placement.  Additional information available in the Guidance office.  Deadline:  March 1, 2018

 

  • Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund:  Scholarship includes up to $5,000 to student attending a four year or $2,500 to attend a two year accredited college or vocational school.  GPA of 2.5 or above needed as well as significant unmet financial need.  Additional information is available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline:  March 29, 2018. 

 

  • Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation:  $1,000 scholarship based on financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement.  Deadline: March 10, 2018.

 

  • NJPSA:  $2,000 to seniors demonstrating leadership in school and for participation in co-curricular activities other than athletics.  Additional information available in Guidance Office.  Deadline:  March 19, 2018.


  • Visiting Nurse Association:  $500 Scholarship awarded to student pursuing a nursing career.  Website for application is www.vnahg.org/nursescholarships   Additional information is available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline: March 31, 2018.

 

April Deadlines

  • Robert M. Oberholser Scholarship:  $3,500 scholarship offered to student attending a 4-yr college.  Scholarship requires student to enter the field of education at a New Jersey college or university.  Application in Guidance Office.  Deadline:  Postmarked by April 1, 2018

 

  • Harriet DeLionardo Scholarship:  $2,000 scholarship offered to student attending a 2-yr college.  Scholarship requires student to enter the field of education at a New Jersey college or university.  Application is in Guidance Office.  Deadline:  Postmarked by April 1, 2018

 

  • Elizabeth A. Allen & Isabelle M. Hickman Scholarships:  Each award is for $1,500 for one year (renewable) to a student who will is in the top 5% of their class and has been accepted to a 4 yr. college.  Application is in Guidance Office. Deadline:  Postmarked by April 1, 2018
  •  Sisters That are Rendering Services:Three $1,500 scholarships awarded to females and 1 African-American male.Proof of acceptance into college/university, essay and letters of recommendation necessary.Application is in the Guidance Office.Deadline:Postmarked by April 2, 2018
  • Toni Donato-Bolis & Baby RJ Scholarship:  Scholarship awarded to student based on academic achievement and a passion to become active in representing awareness of Distracted Driving.  Additional information is available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline:  April 4, 2018.

 

  • Burlington County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee; Ev-Ry Farm Scholarship; Barbara Hunter Memorial Scholarship:  Scholarships available to student intending to further their education in agriculture or agriculture-related fields.  Application and additional information is available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline:  April 6, 2018.

 

  • Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Scholarship:  $1,000 Scholarship awarded to a young woman pursuing a career in education.  Additional information is available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline: April 10, 2018.
  • Frances R. Pliskin High School Scholarship:One $1,000 and seven $500 scholarships.Written essay describing how a school counselor has influenced your life in a positive way.Deadline: April 13, 2018.


  • New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation:  Two $2,500 scholarships offered. Applicant must be a NJ Resident, graduating senior and have visited the NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial.  Additional information is available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline: Must be received in their office by April 13, 2018 4:00 p.m. 

 

  • Disabled American Veterans:  (3) $1,000 scholarships available to graduating senior with parent or grandparent of a Veteran of the Armed Forces & a member of the Disabled American Veterans.  Essay required.  Additional information is available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline:  Received no later than April 13, 2018.
  • ABCO Cares About Education: (7) $1,500 scholarships available. Each scholarship is an award to be paid jointly to the winning student and the student's chosen accredited educational institution. Scholarship funds must be used: 1. for tuition or textbooks; 2. only at an accredited educational institution (2-or 4-year college, university, technical or vocational school).Additional information is available in the Guidance office.Deadline:April 15, 2018.

  • Betty Albrecht Memorial Scholarship: $500 scholarship to a female pursuing a vocal music and or performance theatre. Letter of recommendation, essay and audio submission required.Application available in the Guidance Office.Deadline:April 17, 2018.

  • Delta Kappa Gamma: Grant available to a female student who is pursuing a degree in education.Information required to apply is available in the Guidance office.Deadline:April 27, 2018.
  • Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 899:  One $2,500 scholarship awarded to a Burlington County Senior who has maintained a “C” average or better & plans to attend accredited college or other institute of higher learning.  Essay information is available in the Guidance office.  Deadline:  April 30, 2018

 

  • Builders League of South Jersey:  Scholarship up to $3,500 for student (full time or part time) for student pursing fields related to real estate development and construction.  Additional information is available in the Guidance Office. Deadline:  April 30, 2018.

May Deadlines

 
  • Marine Trades Scholarship:  $9,562.50 (half scholarship) available.  Application available online at www.mtanj.org/scholarships.  Careers surround the boating industry.  Deadline:  May 1, 2018.
  • Penn State Alumni Association of Southern New Jersey Chapter:Five scholarships in various amounts.Application, transcript with SAT scores and letter of recommendation necessary. Application available in Guidance Office.Deadline:May 4, 2018.

 

  • JDRF:  $1,000.00 scholarship available a graduate who is Type 1 Diabetic, maintains GPA of 3.5 or better and participates is sports.  Application available in the Guidance office. Recipient will be expected to attend awards dinner on Monday, June 7th.  Deadline:  May 18, 2018.
